Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and strategic
direction of Ausgael by Derichebourg (“Ausgael”). This role holds full accountability for
operations, financial performance, client relationships, and business development.
As a key leader within the organization, the General Manager will drive growth, ensure
operational excellence, and strengthen alignment with Derichebourg group entities. This
position requires a strong balance of executive leadership and hands-on operational
involvement, including participation in aircraft inspections and technical services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational and Financial Management
Oversee daily operations across multiple Ausgael worksites (Boeing Field, Everett,
Charleston, Mobile, etc.)
Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation to meet operational demands
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and
profitability
Maintain full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial
performance
Oversee financial processes including bookkeeping, reporting, and regulatory
compliance
Deliver monthly performance reviews and financial reporting to DAS Inc.
2. Commercial Development
Define and execute the company’s commercial strategy to support sustainable
growth
Lead all business development, sales, and contract management activities
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the aerospace sector
Represent the company at industry events (e.g., ISTAT), client meetings, and key
engagements.
3. Team Leadership and Coordination
Lead, mentor, and directly manage company employees and contractors.
Ensure effective communication across operations, technical, finance, and
commercial departments.
Foster collaboration and synergy with other Derichebourg group entities starting with
Derichebourg Aeronautics Services LLC.
Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
4. Technical Oversight
Supervise aircraft inspections to ensure compliance with Client requirements.
Oversee quality control of all technical operations.
Support continuous technical innovation and adherence to aerospace industry
requirements.
5. Executive & Strategic Responsibilities
Contribute to long-term strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to guide company strategy.
Approve major contracts, budgets, and investments.
Act as a key decision-maker in organizational and operational matters.
Represent the company in negotiations, high-level meetings, and industry forums.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Perform aircraft inspections and related technical services as needed.
Requirements
Required Profile:
Experience in aircraft inspection at manufacturing facilities.
Advanced degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Extensive experience in operational and commercial management, ideally in the
aerospace sector.
Strong financial acumen and proven reporting management experience.
Demonstrated ability in business development and client relationship management.
Experienced in leading teams and coordinating complex projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation and representation skills.
Good writing skills.
Willingness to travel for client visits, trade shows, and inspections.
Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
