The Role
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Technical & Powerplants, the Powerplant Planning & Engineering (PPE) Associate supports the technical and commercial management of the Company’s engine and APU assets throughout their lifecycle. The role assists with maintenance planning, technical analysis, asset optimisation, shop visit management and lease transition activities, helping to maximise asset value and support the Company’s global aviation leasing and trading operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the planning and management of engine and APU maintenance events, including shop visits, repairs, overhauls, and module exchanges.
- Monitor engine and APU performance, utilization, LLP status, and maintenance forecasts.
- Assist in evaluating engine maintenance programs and reserve Inductions with MRO positions.
- Support technical due diligence for aircraft, engine, and APU acquisitions, sales, lease transitions, and repossessions.
The Company
Our client is a full-service commercial aircraft and engines lessor primarily focused on early to midlife aviation assets that are both serviceable and part-out candidates.
They provide a variety of fleet solutions to their global airline customers and select secondary trading partners focused solely on the most in-demand Boeing and Airbus aircraft and their respective powerplants.
Requirements
The Person
The ideal candidate for the position should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Management or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial aviation, ideally within an aircraft lessor, airline, MRO, OEM, engine leasing company or aviation consultancy.
- Practical knowledge of aircraft engines and their principal components, together with a strong willingness to learn and develop across a broad range of powerplant activities.
- Basic understanding of turbine engine maintenance programmes and commercial aircraft powerplant systems.
