About CALC
CALC is a global aviation and asset solutions leader advancing digital transformation through blockchain, AI, and intelligent data platforms. We are building next-generation systems that bring transparency, automation, and intelligence to aviation operations, asset lifecycle management, and digital ecosystems.
Our vision is to integrate distributed ledgers, digital identity, predictive analytics, and collaborative marketplaces into one unified platform for the future of aviation technology.
Role Overview
This is not a traditional enterprise IT position — it is a hands-on, innovation-driven engineering role blending blockchain architecture, R&D, applied software engineering, and cross-functional integration.
You will lead the design and development of enterprise-grade blockchain platforms, smart contract automation, and hybrid cloud/on-chain systems, helping CALC explore tokenization, digital lifecycle identity, predictive maintenance, data monetization, and aviation fintech products.
You will work in a startup-style innovation environment inside a global enterprise — with meaningful autonomy, creative problem solving, rapid prototyping, technical leadership, and real impact on CALC’s long-term digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead R&D initiatives for CALC’s next-generation blockchain innovation platform (iCALC).
Architect and design scalable distributed ledger systems to enhance transparency, asset traceability, and financial workflows.
Prototype smart contracts for business automation, asset lifecycle events, leasing models, settlements, financing, or regulatory auditing.
Evaluate blockchain architectures such as Hyperledger Fabric, Polygon, Cosmos SDK, Solana, Avalanche, or private EVM frameworks for enterprise applications.
Develop hybrid on-chain/off-chain architectures, integrating blockchain with internal ERP systems, IoT, digital identity, cloud databases, and aviation workflows.
Develop API frameworks, microservices, and secure data pipelines that enable interoperability across CALC’s digital ecosystem.
Collaborate with the AI and analytics division to connect blockchain with predictive maintenance, fleet forecasting, and machine learning models.
Conduct R&D pilots to explore future trends such as:
Aviation asset tokenization
Digital twins
ESG traceability models
Aviation fintech and DeFi concepts
Digital identity for parts, engines, and aircraft
Act as a thought leader internally — mentoring junior developers, collaborating cross-functionally, hosting innovation workshops, and evangelizing breakthrough emerging tech concepts.
Contribute to the innovation roadmap and advise leadership on technical feasibility, security, scalability, and data governance models.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent.
5–8+ years of blockchain engineering and distributed systems experience.
Expertise with:
Smart contract development (Solidity, Rust, or Go)
Private/public ledger platforms (Hyperledger, Corda, Cosmos, Polygon, or EVM)
Distributed data structures and consensus models
Proficiency in at least one backend language:
Go, Rust, Node.js, Python, or TypeScript
Experience building or integrating developer APIs, data platforms, or cloud microservices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Cloud-native DevSecOps familiarity including CI/CD, containers, and runtime security models.
Exposure to enterprise data security, cryptographic frameworks, key management, and zero-trust architectures preferred.
Experience with AI/ML integration, NLP, or predictive analytics is a plus.
Innovator mindset:
Collaborative
Experimental
Curious
Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid prototyping
Chinese language ability is not required but is considered a plus.
